#TSBSpecial— How Chiff Timz Strategically Dominated 2018.

Image
Chiff Timz One very key attribute in having an overall successful career in the entertainment scene is, the ability to build on previous successes. The entertainment scene reeks of allies and players with forgetful nature, and this can be blamed largely on the fast-paced society we've become. Therefore, it's imperative for one to constantly remind society of their past achievements, even as they take on new challenges. 2018 would be remembered as the year of Chiff Timz , an artist believed by many to be one of the most decorated on this side. The year, for Chiff Timz, began on a purposeful note, one likened to the determination of a hungry squirrel with a tough nut to crack. Only this time that nut is the industry; the fans, the critics and whatnot.   Read Also : Chiff Timz Announces An EP (Retired Rapper) Is In The Pipeline It must be rightly put, that, Chiff Timz's 2018 tenacious appearance shouldn't be confused with that of an up-and-coming art...

#TSBSpecial— The Story Of Eddie Roll's Rise To Fame.

Image
Eddie Roll Eddie Roll in a photo session "Aboy focus that homeboy, we don dey bone since, omor, we no know joy" —EDDIE ROLL: The Introduction. L ong before his induction into the Bayelsa entertainment Hall of Fame, Eddie Roll has always been a powerhouse— maybe not as powerful then, as he is now to the locals. But to the outside world, even far beyond the shores of the Niger Delta, his fragrance had been identified. The name ( Eddie Roll ) had stuck out. B orn Edmond Alaowei Osumawei, the maestro from Peremabiri community of Bayelsa state has not only paid his compulsive dues collected by industry gatekeepers, he has luckily started to witness the likely result of hard work. The smell of success has found its way to his nose, and, from the look of things, he is not snorting — only inhales. It's noteworthy that before his unopposed exploits in Bayelsa, there was an Eddie presence in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. He was, and still is, involved in the c...

Wida You Remix— Eddie Roll Makes Strategic Move, Features KaySwitch And Dandizzy.

Image
Eddie Roll Wida You cover "Every day you wan die on top porn site" In 2017 Eddie Roll dropped a street anthem Wida You , a song that dominated everyone's playlist and impacted heavily on the industry. To be fair, he was the year's champion. The incoming year would witness Wida You solidify its reputation as one of the classics, in recent history, to grace the industry. Wida You enriched Eddie Roll —financially and otherwise— and allowed for a smooth introduction of his art to music lovers. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and Wida You wasn't an exception. As the new year began to unfold, ushering in slow but steady obliteration of Wida You from our music space, as a result of the passing of time, music fans started looking elsewhere for whatever could quench their ungrateful, insatiable appetite. However, a resuscitation plan was in motion. Surprise!...... It's Eddie Roll with another round of Wida You. Makin...

Aye Boy's First Single After Marriage is A Testament To Both His Past Agony and His Present Lavishness.

Image
Aye Boy Kpolongo cover   Life, they say, is characterized by uncertainties. Some people have it easy, whereas for others, it's a complete match for survival at life's Wrestle Mania, with seven referees favouring life, and not you. Fighhhhhhhht, Begin! Right on the heels of his much-publicized marriage, Aye Boy and label head (E.S. Nation) drops a new single, "Kpolongo". As groovy and peppy as Kpolongo is, it does leave open clues behind, as to what it is about. Aye Boy takes us to his trying days, one which is sometimes considered the originator of the many teachings of perseverance, hard work and a never-say-never attitude. Yes, he was broke. Yes, he was broken. Yes, he was heartbroken. But these unhealthy phenomena have added layers of endurance to his life and, today, the story is different. Between having a string of hits under his belt, he's also returned to a stable place mentally, has married the love of his life and they have an ...

#SleekBuzzOpinion—El Vidal's Olotu Claim Doesn't Hold Water But Is Good For Publicity.

Image
El Vidal Bayelsan rapper, El Vidal , has called Ichaba and Dremo out for titling their collaborative song "Olotu". The rapper took to his Facebook to slam the duo, accusing them of stealing from him and backing this claim up with an incident that took place at a certain Friday Night Show at Freedom Park, Lagos. According to El Vidal , the duo of Ichaba and Dremo, and other DMW members (with an exception of Davido) were seated backstage at the event, while he performed Olotu to the delight of fans and those backstage. Apparently right after his performance, there was a string of accolades, from almost everyone, that was when Ichaba and Dremo approached him and asked for the meaning of Olotu, to that, he replied, "It means champion in Ijaw language". Well, to El Vidal's bewilderment, Ichaba and Dremo's recent work is titled Olotu. This situation, as we know, isn't where any creative would choose to be in, so El Vidal'...

Image
Payper On the 26th of April 2019, Rhythm 94.7 FM Yenagoa had rapper Yung6ix in an interview to premiere his new single "What If".   The interview which is part of Yung6ix's radio tour and was anchored by O.A.P., Ijeoma Mbama (I.J.) , had the rapper talking about the making of What If and his meeting with Peruzzi. Upon further questioning from I.J. the rapper revealed that the inspiration behind What If, although a product of a trivial studio session, was the search of mutuality in relationships. The video is just an expression of the song... when you have a beautiful girl you're crushing on, right? But she's more interested in what you have to offer, than what you really need from her — which is true love. This is what most of us guys go through these days. —Yung6ix The interview didn't end without an obvious question, one that has been on the minds of every Bayelsan entertainment enthusiast. I.J.: "Well, some people actually...

"KiLa Is The First Bayelsa-based Artist To Have Two Thousand Spotify Streams".– Stinocity

Image
KiLa Stinocity has told the general public that one of its clients, KiLa , has become the first Bayelsa-based artist to amass over two thousand streams from audio streaming platform, Spotify. This news was conveyed via a Facebook post of Azibs, Egunema Hastone, founder Stinocity (a digital marketing and distribution company). Inasmuch as we can't verify the authenticity of this claim, there's every evidence of gross indulgence by fans of the rapper in Lost Pages . Since the release of his last two projects ( B.O.W. and Lost Pages ), KiLa's online presence has risen, exposing him to larger and more sensitive fans worldwide. The Lost Pages Project was dropped this year, and it's still one of the favorites.. The role of Stinocity in this can't be overlooked. The company which is likely the first of it's nature in the state is a major one in the distribution of digital contents across audio streaming platforms such as Spotify, Sound...

"Nobody Charges For Songs To Be Played On Air But...." — O.A.P. Ijeoma Mbama (I.J.)

Image
Ijeoma Mbama (I.J.) On-air-personality Ijeoma Mbama, widely known as I.J., of Rhythm 94.7 FM, has thrown her two cents on a very delicate matter – Payola, which many artistes claimed has stopped them from getting a considerable number of radio spins. The OAP, whose time at the lake side studio has aided the upward movement of entertainment in the state, didn't minch words in her bid to clear issues. "Nobody charges for songs to be played on air but if you want the other party to be dedicated to your business daily, until it becomes so obvious, you gotta strike a deal for the other person's commitment, except you guys have some extra relationship". — I.J.  She also said how she chooses to work with an artist is dependent on the relationship they both have, and in the advent of a disrespect for her person, the consequences could follow. She is likely to never work with this artist again.

(Bad Belle Company)’. "Stray Bullets No Dey Ask Question." – Funkckeff To SARS, Inside Life Music Video.

Image
FunkCleff Yes, at the moment, social media is littered with news of SARS extra-judicial killings, with their latest victims being the deceased Jessica, and her boyfriend, Emmanuel, who according to reports is battling for his life. They were unarmed. Barely a month ago, the news of Kolade's death was everywhere. He was shot by a member of the police team, while watching a football match. He was unarmed. Back here in Yenagoa, last year, rapper and student, Nikade Tariela, of the department of Petroleum Engineering (Niger Delta University) was shot dead, while leaving a viewing centre. He was unarmed. If you take a close look at this write-up, you'll see reasons to become aggrieved – these victims were unarmed; the situations that caused their deaths weren't even life-threatening. Funkcleff dropped a video a week ago or so, It's no ordinary video — he discusses the improper conducts of the Nigerian police force. The scenes are beautifully ta...

One Night Stand With Soda Presh And The Alba Group: Five Reasons Why You Have To Attend The Show.

Image
Soda Presh I should be asleep..... I'm really exhausted, but let's see what becomes of this little time I have. Holding a concert in the city of Yenagoa is daunting but plausible. The issues of social insecurity, power unavailability and harassment by law enforcement agencies are a threat to concerts goers, the odds are most likely never in an artist's favour. This is the  more reason why the encouragement switch needs to be on when an artist makes an effort to give us one.— Encourage them. Concerts are key for artist development, the connection between a performer and their crowds as a result of having one can't be overstated. — The End.  Soda Presh and his team (and of course the Alba Group) are taking a bold step, they've taken the plunge; a concert they want, a concert they shall have, with zero regard for circumstantial happenings. This is a good thing. This is a plus for Soda and the entire industry. But unasked questions on the minds ...

Image
Kiss Daniel's fvck You challenge has taken the entertainment industry by storm. On Twitter and Instagram, the hashtag of various versions can be seen flooding the timeline, begging for views. While this, for some artists, has become an avenue for creative exercises, devoid of sentiments, others haven't approached the hashtag with indifference. There's an alleged fvck you cover by Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani, taking shots at Tiwa Savage.
