Payper Corleone Gets Headies Nomination, To Go On Tour With Vector

Rapper Payper Corleone is certainly watching his dreams unfold before him. The rapper, in contemporary times, has gone from obscurity to well-deserved prominence. His debut album The Fly Gangsta From The 90's was well received by the industry. 
And has it not been told that the album only assembled the best hip hop acts presently in the game?
Payper's recognition shelf may just have an extra compartment added so that it can accommodate a new recognition, the Headies.


The 13th edition of arguably the most prestigious music award show in Nigeria, the Headies, is scheduled to hold October 19th, 2019. The year in review was announced as January 2018 and June 2019.

A few days ago, the Headies published a list of categories and artists who have been nominated for an award (s). These artists under the year in review have been found worthy of meeting the Headies criteria in terms of sales, impact, and more, and no doubt, Rapper Payper Corleone has been doing the needful since the year began.
Besides his album, Payper Corleone has continued to effect discussions in the industry, rubbing shoulders with the top dawgs, and consequently making himself one of them. 
Therefore, it wasn't a thing of much surprise when the Headies list had Payper's Sacrifice (featuring Alhpa Ojini)  in the Best Rap Single Of The Year category. The rapper will have the likes of Falz, Hotyce, IllBliss and AQ and Loose Kaynon to do battle with.  
It will be worth saying that the  BMAA possessor is getting a nod from the Headies for the first time, more profound, is the elevating role this will have in the rapper's career, especially when you consider the fact that his name is being placed side by side with some of the biggest acts in the industry: The WizKids, the Burna boys and the Davidos.

In other great news, Payper will be touring with rapper Vector. This became official when Vector replied Payper's tweet. That tweet had the Sacrifice artist complain about some industry folks' attempt to sabotage his growth by conspiring with show promoters to blacklist him.
Vector later insisted that the rap tour his team will embark on has Payper as one of the performing acts.
"The industry is not anybody's property," Vector said.
