Love Meets Hate: Yawng Boss Serves Fans A World-Class Project

2020's identity had trouble written all over it; it was the perfect settlement for unimaginable realities. Even for an ultra-optimist, who relishes the protection of great prospects, 2020 proved that man's propensity to shed layers of hope in the face of uncertainties remains fixed.
As we ruminate on the events of the year engrossed in a pandemic, we see our routines and needs either surviving on the back of improvisation and enterprise or facing annihilation for staying traditional. Apparently, the survival of the music industry depended on the choices it made with available options and, thankfully, it chose to survive.

As part of their allegiances to the industry's decision, artists the world over, galvanized by resilience and an availability of technology-aided tools of production, released projects. Indeed, in 2020, where the collapse of businesses littered headline news, the entertainment industry maneuvered its way to survival.

On home soil, obvious artists at the forefront of Nigeria's entertainment— Timaya, Chiff Timz, Burna Boy, Davido, CitiBoi, Quirries, Eddieroll, WizKid and Olamide—all lifted our spirits with their respective projects. 2021 is here, and the tradition is continuing.

Rapper Yawng Boss almost in an invader-like fashion, begins the year with a project titled Love Meets Hate. Love Meets Hate, a 6-track EP, housing promising singles and the best of collaborators from the South South, represents Yawng Boss' partnership with 2020 for inspiration and guide. It must be put lucidly, however, that while Love Meets Hate withdraws from the experiences of 2020, for the sake of relaying relief to the casualties of 2020's global movement, Yawng Boss' intent is rather to empower listeners than to push for an adulation of 2020.

"The world is fucked right now, my country Nigeria is in a worse state, it is safe to say LOVE met HATE like never before in 2020. However, rapper Yawng Boss thought it wise to start off the year 2021 with some positivity, music to lift our spirit, y’all have a great 2021", says Yawng Boss via a press release.

Both sonically and creatively, Love Meets Hate meets every possible criterion on which music enthusiasts could pass an untainted judgement. Yawng Boss shows he now is a skilled driver of worthwhile content, rightly armed, and able to tap into the extremes of creativity without incurring dreadful consequences.

Besides its pithiness-- which makes for easy listening--Love Meets Hate boasts an array of star acts, including Payper Corleone, El Vidal, Wuka, Chiff Timz, Kel Money and, obvious surprise act of the project, BigJ5.
