The 13th edition of one of Africa's career-defining award shows has come and gone. Winners have been announced and congratulations have been sent from fans and artistes to them. The event, which is always highly publicized had a shortage of industry big guns as most artistes had other also-important events to grace. For instance, Wizkid had his StayBoy Fest at the O2 Arena, London. StarBoy Fest would be alleged to be responsible for the dearth of stars at the 2019 Headies as Influential acts like Burnaboy, Naira Marley, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Runtown and more would partake in Starboy Fest. Davido, too, would be absent to witness the birth of his son, Ifeanyi.  Nevertheless, other superstar acts like Payper Corleone , Rema, Wurld, Tacha of Big Brother, Seun Kuti, DJ Cuppy, Teni, Mayorkun, BlaqBonez, Reminisce, Falz and more would make the night a memorable one. Did I expect a collaboration between Kvng KiLa (who has spent recent moments getting consumed with 03:02:01 [a project he and Mr. Legend collaboratively assembled and is scheduled for release in September]) and Mr. Hood (who has a resembling responsibility to deliver on the 20th of September 2019 as regards Hustle and Flow, the second of impressive body of work under his belt? Bayelsan artist StarBlink A.K.A Mr. I dey on things, set out to uncover the impression Bayelsans have of their artists. It was a joyous and maybe the most memorable day for artist FunkCleff . His social media handles did witness heavy bombaradment by fans. Phone calls. Text messages. Lots of I love yous (from both sexes). Yes, no 'no homos,' at the end of messages from his male friends, the celebratory atmosphere would certainly have annihilated such an idea from the minds of men. Fly Gangsta From The 90's Rapper Jude Lemfani Abaga, popularly know as M.I Abaga, has charged Nigerians to walk the talk, particularly when the subject is Nigerian hip-hop. He made this important statement via Twitter while quoting a tweet from Bayelsan rapper Payper Corleone who, at the time, was promoting the visuals of Sacrifice , a song from his Fly Gangsta From The 90's  album. It should be worthy of remembrance, that prior to this moment, Mr. Hood had been in the studio recording, with the promise of a project before the year elapses. And as part of his promise, weeks before, Mr. Hood posted an extract on his YouTube , a video which is believed to have come from an upcoming release. The extract predominantly titled "Woyi" derives its influence from Kcee's 2019 dancehall hit "Erima" which features Timaya.
